Overcooked Ideas is a group of student researchers interested in imagining and visualising the development of a future of food and technology, influenced by current issues and concerns effecting the natural system of our world. We are specifically researching a future scenario regarding food scarcity and restricted technology use that are explored through scholarly research to analyse and identify a predicted future that will expose society into a new world where all current involvement with advanced technology, food production and society’s approach towards sustainable and ethical acts may possibly change.
As a group we aim for our blog to explore:
- A platform investigating and engaging with relevant examples and evidences
- Relatable and interesting to students
- Situate ourselves and our own disciplines in a wider context
- A place for discussion
- Integrate research into design practices
Overall we aim to have an interdisciplinary focus as we dissect concerns around climate change, technology, food abundance and security through a designerly lens.
